Dealing with Conflict

Conflict is a part of life, and a part of leadership.  How we deal with conflict and how we manage ourselves in difficult situations says a lot about who we are - oftentimes bringing out the best and the worst in people.  It reflects the quality of our relationships, our professionalism, and our sense of purpose. At Leadership Evolution, our goal is to help leaders see conflict for what it is (a reality check) and to help you achieve the following goal:

When the interaction is over, no matter what the outcome, I can look back at my behaviour and know with certainty that I acted assertively, empathetically, and released my own feelings of wanting to win, get even, or defend my position.

If you can achieve this, then you will find a massive difference in the way conflict is resolved in your life.  Learn more about managing conflict from Alison's Dealing with Conflict Handout from a series of breakfast presentations recently conducted for the Leading Property Managers of Australia (LPMA).
